Community Board

What the Community Board is for, how mentions work, and how to use it without leaving the shopping flow.

What it is for

The Community Board is a lightweight chat layer built into TCGph. It is meant for quick buy/sell/trade posts, off-topic chatter, and card-specific discussion that can happen without leaving the browsing flow.

It is not a replacement for checkout or store support. Think of it as a shared room attached to the product, not a marketplace backend.

Card mentions

You can mention cards directly from the card page or by typing a card name into the board input. TCGph will turn those mentions into richer card references so other people can jump straight to the print.

This is especially useful for asking price checks, linking a specific printing, or pointing someone at a card you're discussing.

Floating vs dedicated page

Most of the time, you'll use the floating Board widget so you can keep browsing listings while chatting.

The floating panel remembers its state and is meant to stay close to the shopping workflow.

Presence and etiquette

  • The online count is a lightweight presence indicator, not a guarantee of active replies.
  • Keep sales posts clear and specific.
  • Use card mentions when context matters.
  • Do not treat the board as official seller support for store issues.
